Job Summary:
A Dermatologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. The role includes providing both medical and aesthetic dermatology services while ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and compliance with **Department of Health Abu Dhabi regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Duties
- Diagnose and treat skin conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections)
- Perform dermatological procedures (biopsies, cryotherapy, minor surgeries)
- Manage chronic skin diseases and follow-up care
- Provide patient education on skin health and prevention
2. Aesthetic Services (if applicable)
- Perform procedures such as:
- Botox and dermal fillers
- Chemical peels
- Laser treatments
- Conduct skin assessments and recommend suitable treatments
3. Patient Care & Safety
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Ensure informed consent is obtained before procedures
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards
4. Compliance & Regulations
- Follow DOH policies, clinical guidelines, and ethical standards
- Maintain valid professional license and CME requirements
5. Collaboration
- Work closely with nurses, laser therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary
Skills
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
- Specialization in Dermatology (MD / Board Certification / equivalent)
- Valid DOH License or Eligibility
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience (depending on classification)
